What This Site Is

Catholic Repository is a free, privately run library of Catholic prayers and explanations of Church teaching, published by a lay couple in Malaysia. It is offered in good faith and maintained carefully, but it is a personal project.

What This Site Is Not

• It is not an official publication of the Catholic Church, the Holy See, any diocese, parish or religious order, and carries no imprimatur or nihil obstat.
• It is not spiritual direction, pastoral care or a substitute for the sacraments. For a matter affecting your own soul or situation, speak to a priest.
• It is not legal, medical, financial or psychological advice. Several pages touch on grave matters – illness, dying, grief, mental health. They describe what the Church teaches. They are not professional guidance and must not be relied on as such.
• It is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact emergency services or a crisis line in your country.

Accuracy

We take considerable care to represent Church teaching faithfully and to cite our sources, but we are not theologians and we can be wrong. Where a page differs from the official texts of the Church, the official texts govern. If you find an error, please tell us – we would rather be corrected than left wrong.

Copyright and Reuse

Our own writing

The explanatory text we have written on this site is our copyright. That said, our purpose is to be useful, not to be protective: you are welcome to print, copy and share pages from this site for personal prayer, parish use, RCIA, catechesis or study, free of charge, provided you do not sell them and you do not present them as your own. For anything beyond that, just ask.

Texts we do not own

Many Catholic texts remain in copyright, including the Catechism of the Catholic Church, current liturgical translations, and prayers by living authors and religious communities. We do not claim any rights in these. Where they appear or are referenced, they belong to their respective holders, and we link to the official sources rather than reproducing protected text. If you hold rights in anything on this site and wish it removed or credited differently, contact us and we will act promptly.

Links to Other Sites

We link to external sites, including the Vatican website, where they are useful. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.

Donations

Donations support the running costs of the site – hosting, domain and tools – and the time spent building it. They are voluntary gifts, not purchases, and they are not tax-deductible. We are not a registered charity. If a donation was made in error, contact us and we will refund it.

No Warranty

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption, free of errors, or fit for any particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or anything linked from it.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.

We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last changed, and continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.
