Saint Gaetano Catanoso was an Italian diocesan priest of Reggio Calabria who died on 4 April 1963 at about eighty-four years of age, after more than six decades of priestly ministry. He is remembered for his deep personal devotion to the Holy Face of Christ, which he actively promoted among the faithful, and for founding the Congregation of the Veronica Sisters of the Holy Face to serve the poor of southern Italy.
